A World Without Romania?

I've just stumbled upon a very good movie about my country: The movies has to keep a good commercial appeal and not become scientifically boring. It succeeds at that, and it does Romania a good, but not excellent, justice. The movie doesn't mention anything about the stellar poet Mihai Eminescu, the playwright Eugen Ionescu, the composer George Enescu, or the founder of the Dada movement, Tristan Tzara. More surprisingly, it doesn't mention the famous tennis players Ilie Nastase, #1 at the 1972 US Open and at the 1973 French Open, and Ion Tiriac (#1 with Ilie Nastase at men's doubles at the 1970 French Open). The list of inventors misses some big names as well: Hermann Oberth, the precursor of rocketry Victor Babes, who published the first treaty of microbiology in the world, and was one of the forefathers of serum therapy Anastase Dragomir, who basically invented the ejection seat in planes (I didn't know this one myself!) There are many other Romanians who left their mark on the world; some you might have heard about are listed on Wikipedia or here.

Tour Waves of Worship

Well, I am a man or ..the man??? Ham... the thing is that since February 2006 I am coordinating the man's ministry in my church. This is something I really like to do as I do believe we, the men, need some time out with other people , have fun, share with each other and support each other so here I am in a new ministry , something I never thought about I will be doing but it is amazing. There are great man's in our church and few more others in town ( i pray for some more!) that are coming (and will come) to have fellowship with us! Hey, Roar has learned dancing this morning! He got a new cd with kids song and he and Anca practice some dancing while listening to music! Here they are!

Brasov!

Last week-end we visited Anca's family in Brasov! We had some fun there and Anca enjoyed cleaning her parents house! We also visited while there a new Shopping Center opened few days before and Roar really got impressed by what he saw there!

Happy Birthday...to me (Daniel)!!!

I am getting older! Yes! What a joy...my parents will say 'smarter too' but I am not really sure about that! What do you think? Thursday , on the 26th of January was my birthday...great day!Anca make it a really special DAY even from the morning, special breakfeast,coffee, singing with the boys (not that much Rian), an exam at four a clock ...I failed it! and a party with some closer friends from YWAM Constanta and our church in Constanta! Here are some of the pictures....on the cake? What about it? I tought I am older but maybe I am not...

Gabi!

Today i will us this place to write something that one of the youth that has been on the festival last year wrote on the www.sutalasuta.ro-guestbook yestarday! 'For me the 2005 festival was the biggining of a change in my life and this month I was baptized...i want to thank on this way to those organizing this festival for their guidance on a new way for me...peace' Gabi, 20 years old Thank you Gabi and may God richly bless you!Keep it up!

Computers

It was hard to keep updated this blog as the computer got broken soon after we started it. We sendthe computer back to be fixed and after 3 months we have the computer again...unfortunately it came back even worst than before so.....we have to send it back to be fixed in.....USA! A New Biggining

6 years! 6 years since we came to Constanta to start working with YWAM!At that time was only Nordli's family here...we start working together in Navodari, helping to plant the church there and than working with the youth and muslim children there.Later one we start going in another village,Targusor, and set up the foundation for planting a church there.

In 2001 we organized the first 100% For Christ Festival, something which in time will became our main ministry. In the same time we became the youth leaders in the "Light House Church" in Constanta and worked with the youth for 2 years.Even though we liked so much working with the church we had to quit as we were starting the "Moment Cafe" ministry. Even though we had a lot of passion for ministry and wanted to do so much, whileour family grew than we had to focus more on the festival and the coffeehouse tomake sure we do the well.

Now we have 2 children, Roar is already going to kindergarden ( I enjoy so much seeing him running with his backpack, eagertomeethis new friends and play with them!) and ...things are changing.

After 6 years we believe now is the time to set up our minsty on its own foundation. We will quit working with YWAM base in Constanta and set up the "sutalasuta"ministry ( sutalasuta means onehundred percent), where we will fous only on the 100% For Christ festival and the Moment Cafe ministry. We believe this is what God wants from us and He will bless this new step.

Of course it is hard for us to leave after so many years, to leave behind good friends aplace where we felt safer and where we had ,more or less, all we need to do our mnistry.
